2019 TAPR Project Summary

AEMO has prepared a consolidated summary of the augmentations proposed by each TNSP in their 2019 Transmission Annual Planning Reports (TAPRs) and how the main grid augmentation relate to the ISP.

2019 NSCAS Report

AEMO has assessed the Network Support and Control Ancillary Services (NSCAS) needs for the National Electricity Market (NEM) for the next five years, and published findings in the 2019 NSCAS Report.

Historically, AEMO’s NSCAS review was included in the National Transmission Network Development Plan (NTNDP). From 2019, AEMO publishes the NSCAS report as a standalone document as specified in the draft ISP Rules. 

Draft Regional Traces

The files below provides draft regional demand traces, by components for each NEM region for both 10% and 50% probability of exceedance (POE) maximum demands and for 9 different reference years.  

Each of the zipped regional files includes:

  • OPSO: Contains half-hourly regional demand traces for operational demand (demand after the impact of rooftop PV and PVNSG)
  • OPSO_PVLITE: Contains half-hourly regional demand traces for operational demand (demand before the impact of rooftop PV and PVNSG)
  • PV: Contains half hourly regional generation traces for rooftop PV
  • PV_TOT: Contains half hourly regional generation traces for all embedded PV, including rooftop PV and PVNSG
  • EV: Contains half hourly regional aggregate electric vehicle charging
  • ESS: Contains half hourly regional aggregate customer installed battery charging/discharging. 
  • VTOH: Contains half hourly regional aggregate discharging from electric vehicles to homes (only used in the Step change scenario).
