2016 NEM Electricity Statement of Opportunities
The 2016 NEM ESOO provides a projected outlook to 2025–26 of supply adequacy under a number of scenarios, and this year has modelled further generation withdrawals in response to Australia’s 2015 Paris 21st Conference of Parties emission abatement commitment.
The 2016 ESOO was prepared by AEMO using information available at 1 July 2016, however the impact of changes after this date have been assessed where practical.
