Fast Frequency Response Market - Increase in R1 FCAS volume 18 December 2023.
Following review of the operation of the Very Fast FCAS market, from 1300 hrs AEST on Monday 18 December AEMO will:
Increase the cap on dispatch of Very Fast Raise (R1) Contingency FCAS from 175 MW to 225 MW
Retain the existing cap on dispatch of Very Fast Lower (L1) Contingency FCAS at 100 MW
No other changes to the dispatch of Very Fast FCAS or FCAS constraint equation changes will be made on this date

NEM Local Temperature Alerts for QLD from 13 Dec 2023 to 17 Dec 2023
AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.
QLD
Dalby Ap (37+ Deg C): 17th Dec
The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 112216 has been updated at 0700 hrs 13/12/2023 to the following:
From 1500 hrs to 1900 hrs 14/12/2023.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1239 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 345 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 112210 has been updated at 0500 hrs 13/12/2023 to the following:
rom 1530 hrs 14/12/2023 to 2000 hrs 14/12/2023.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1111 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 574 MW.

Please provide Generator Recall Information for the period 14/12/2023, by 1200 hrs on 13/12/2023 via the Generator Recall communication system, in accordance with clause 4.8.5A of the National Electricity Rules.
