STPASA - Update to the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the NSW Region on 14/12/2023
The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 112210 has been updated at 0500 hrs 13/12/2023 to the following:
rom 1530 hrs 14/12/2023 to 2000 hrs 14/12/2023.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1111 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 574 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice no. 112198. Additional generation in QLD could assist in alleviating the forecast LOR condition in NSW.
Please provide Generator Recall Information for the period 14/12/2023, by 1200 hrs on 13/12/2023 via the Generator Recall communication system, in accordance with clause 4.8.5A of the National Electricity Rules.

Participant Impact and Requirements: Under this change , AEMO will install an updated version of a key Dispatch application (NEMDE Solutionloader) used in Production for Dispatch, 5-Minute Pre-dispatch, Pre-dispatch, and 7-Day Pre-dispatch.
Changes include:
o Extension of Automated MII Procedures to include detection of FCAS MIIs using an FCAS requirement threshold.
No outages or delays expected. AEMO will advise once complete.
