STPASA - Cancellation of the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the QLD Region on 18/01/2024
The Forecast LOR2 condition in the QLD region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 113285 is cancelled at 0700 hrs 16/01/2024.
No LOR2 condition is currently forecast in the STPASA period.

STPASA - Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the QLD Region on 18/01/2024
AEMO declares a Forecast LOR2 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the QLD region for the following period:
[1.] From 1730 hrs 18/01/2024 to 2030 hrs 18/01/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 870 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 681 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

QNI Minor testing (NSW to Qld) 15th January 2024

There is an opportunity for testing QNI Minor for flows from NSW to Qld up to 750 MW on Monday 15th January 2024 from 1400 to 2100hrs.
This test includes a trip and reclose of a line in northern NSW.

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

VIC
Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 12th Jan, 13th Jan
The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
