AEMO’s Enterprise Meter Data Management (eMDM) system has resumed normal operations, following a disruption on Sunday.

AEMO has processed the complete meter data backlog and related NEM settlement and prudential processes are operating as normal.

We apologise for any inconvenience and will share further updates once the remaining data files have been processed.

Importantly, there has been no impact to electricity supply in the NEM during this disruption

AEMO’s Enterprise Meter Data Management (eMDM) system has resumed normal operations, following a disruption on Sunday.

AEMO has processed more than 80 percent of the meter data backlog and will continue to work with Meter Data Providers to process the remaining data files as soon as possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience and will share further updates once the remaining data files have been processed.
Importantly, there has been no impact to electricity supply in the NEM during this disruption.

AEMO has identified the cause of the issue and is currently implementing a fix to restore its Enterprise Meter Data Management (eMDM) system, which was impacted on Sunday.

The eMDM system is part of the Market Settlements and Transfer Solutions (MSATS) and is used to collect electricity metering data for settlement and prudential purposes in the National Electricity Market (NEM).

Importantly, there has been no impact to electricity supply in the NEM during this disruption.

While we’re unable to provide a timeframe for full restoration at this stage, AEMO is actively working to restore the system and will coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure receipt of metering data is managed appropriately.

AEMO will continue to keep impacted stakeholders informed with further updates.

AEMO is experiencing an interruption to its Enterprise Meter Data Management (eMDM) system. This system is part of the Market Settlements and Transfer Solutions (MSATS) and is used to collect electricity metering data for settlement and prudential purposes in the National Electricity Market (NEM).

There is no impact to electricity supply in the NEM.

The issue was identified on Sunday, and an investigation was immediately initiated to determine the cause and restore the eMDM system.

AEMO has been in regular communication with impacted stakeholders and continues to provide updates as the situation progresses.
