PASA Outputs
Data is provided in comma delimited flat file format to enable access to a range of market data. Recent files are stored in a directory for current reports, and older files are moved into the archive reports directory.Prices quoted in these files are exclusive of GST.
File names include date and time stamps and a unique identifier to differentiate the files: eg.

Short Term PASA
This report is published every hour and provides detailed disclosure of short-term power-system supply/demand balance prospects for six days following the next trading day. The information is provided for each half-hour within the report period. (Please see note)

Medium Term PASA
This file is produced weekly (on Tuesdays) and lists the medium-term supply/demand prospects for the period two years in advance. The information is provided for each day within the report period.
Each week participants must submit forecasts of availability to AEMO for the next 36 months, commencing from the first Sunday after the publication date of the MT PASA report. These forecasts form the basis of the Medium Term PASA report that will be produced the following week. (Please see note)

Medium Term PASA Region Availability
This report file contains, for each region and each day over the current MTPASA run timeframe (next 104 weeks, starting Sunday):
- the region-aggregate offered MTPASA Availability for all scheduled generating units registered on that day; and
- the latest date time an MTPASA offer was submitted for any scheduled generating unit for that region and day
The aggregated data is derived solely from the MTPASA offers provided by Scheduled Generators under clause 3.7.2 (d)(1) of the National Electricity Rules. If no MTPASA offer exists for a particular week, the aggregation calculation uses the latest MTPASA offer from the previous week.
The report is updated at 0900, 1200, 1500 and 1800 hrs EST each day (excluding Sundays), and published around 18 minutes later.
An update to this report will be available 16 December 2020 to include total available Minimum, 10% percentile, 50% percentile, 90% percentile and Maximum Available Capacity across iterations and reference years, and extend the reporting period from 2 years to 3 years.

Medium Term PASA DUID Availability
This report file contains the PASA availability and the latest time an MTPASA offer was submitted for each scheduled DUID and each day over the current MTPASA run timeframe (next 104 weeks, starting Sunday):
The data is derived solely from the MTPASA offers provided by Scheduled Generators under clause 3.7.2 (d)(1) of the National Electricity Rules. If no MTPASA offer exists for a day, the latest PASA availability available is used.
The report is updated at 0900, 1200, 1500 and 1800 hrs EST each day (excluding Sundays).
The report will assist Scheduled Generators in meeting their obligations under the insider trading provisions of the Commonwealth Corporations Act 1989, by allowing them to provide timely disclosure of the implications of their generation outage plans prior to seeking financial cover through securities dealings.

Note:
The National Electricity Market registration classification of Yarwun Power Station Unit 1 (dispatchable unit ID: YARWUN_1) is market non-scheduled generating unit. However, it is a condition of the registration of this unit that the Registered Participant complies with some of the obligations of a Scheduled Generator. This unit is dispatched as scheduled generating unit with respect to its dispatch offers, targets and generation outputs. Accordingly, information about YARWUN_1 is reported as scheduled generating unit information.
The Tumut 3 Pumps (dispatchable unit ID: SNOWYP) are not classified as scheduled load in the National Electricity Market. However, they are required to comply with some of the obligations of a Market Customer in respect of a scheduled load. The Tumut 3 Pumps are dispatched as if they were scheduled loads with respect to their dispatch bids, targets and consumption. Accordingly, information about SNOWYP is reported as market scheduled load information.
