AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR3 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the SA region for the following period[s]:

[1.] From 0730 hrs 30/06/2025 to 0930 hrs 30/06/2025.
The maximum load (other than interruptible loads) forecast to be interrupted is 87 MW at 0800 hrs.

[2.] From 1700 hrs 30/06/2025 to 2300 hrs 30/06/2025.
The maximum load (other than interruptible loads) forecast to be interrupted is 112 MW at 1900 hrs.

AEMO is seeking a market response.

AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE.

Direction - NSW region 23/06/2025

In accordance with section 116 of the National Electricity Law, AEMO has issued a direction to a participant in the NSW region.

The direction was necessary to maintain the power system in a secure operating state.

AEMO may issue or revoke additional directions in order to meet the current requirement, unless sufficient market response is provided.

A further market notice will be issued when all directions related to this requirement have been cancelled.

For the purposes of the National Electricity Rules this was a clause 4.8.9 instruction under clause 4.8.9(a).

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 406 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 334 MW.

3. From 1630 hrs to 1700 hrs 30/06/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 459 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 230 MW.

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1859 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1515 MW.

2. From 1630 hrs to 2230 hrs 26/06/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1859 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1381 MW.

Circumstances necessitating the Direction additional detail: The synchronous generating units currently expected to be synchronised in SA will be inadequate to maintain sufficient Voltage Control in SA. Intervention is required to maintain the power system in a secure operating state
Expected duration: 0400 hrs 23/06/2025.
