Accessing WEMS
Market Participant Interface access
The Market Participant Interface (MPI) is a web based application which allows Market Participants to trade in the WEM as well as access market related data.
The following forms must be submitted:
- Application for WEMS Access Form, found at Register as a Rule Participant in the WEM, if your organisation requires access to the MPI.
- WEMS MPA Nomination Form, found at Register as a Rule Participant in the WEM, to appoint a Market Participant Administrator (MPA), who is able to manage the level of access of individual users through the user management in the MPI.
- WEMS token request, found at Register as a Rule Participant in the WEM, for each user to access the Wholesale Electricity Market Systems (WEMS).

Web services
To assist Market Participants in the automation of their trading and reports extraction, AEMO provides several web services, refer to Guides and useful information for more detail.
Please note that to utilise web services, a certificate must be obtained from AEMO. If you require a new certificate, please contact Energy Market Management on wa.operations@aemo.com.au
