Fast Frequency Response Market - Dispatch of R1 and L1 FCAS in the SA region during island conditions from 1 July 2024
From 1 July 2024 AEMO will dispatch R1 and L1 FCAS locally in the SA region during conditions of actual islanding of the SA region.
This follows the end of contracts for Fast Frequency Response (FFR) in the SA region.
The dispatch of R1 and L1 FCAS under these island conditions will not be capped.
These changes are only applicable for conditions of actual SA islanding from the rest of the NEM.
No other changes to the dispatch of R1 and L1 FCAS will be made on this date.
