The Forecast LOR1 condition in the TAS region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 117249 has been updated at 1420 hrs 30/06/2024 to the following:

[1.] From 0800 hrs 02/07/2024 to 0830 hrs 02/07/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 646 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 644 MW.

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR1 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the TAS region for the following periods:

[1.] From 0800 hrs 02/07/2024 to 0830 hrs 02/07/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 646 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 637 MW.

[2.] From 0800 hrs 03/07/2024 to 0830 hrs 03/07/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 646 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 637 MW.

IPWAN Participants - A brief interuption of up to 60 seconds while services are failover from QLD to NSW Datacenter.

Lan-2-Lan VPN Participants (IPSEC) - Up to 2 hour outage for participants who have established their VPN connection/s via the AEMO QLD datacenter termination point (202.44.76.10) only - All L2L connections should be established to both QLD / NSW.

Note: Participants are encouraged to ensure their VPN connections are already established or are configured (as per AEMO best practice) to automatically failover to the alternate AEMO NSW datacenter termination point (202.44.78.10) prior to this scheduled outage.

B2B VPN - No impact is expected.

SSL VPN Participants: None expected as SSL VPN's are hosted on a different device.

GASHUB: No impact is expected as GASHUB will be failed over to the NSW Datacenter.

Other Impacts will have been communicated in advance.

Participant Impact and Requirements: A change to the MarketNet SSL VPN connection will take place on the 10th July 2024 between 6pm and 10PM AEST. There will be a 30 minute period during this change where no new VPN Connections will be able to be established.

Post the change window, participants running on an older version of the software may receive a message that the Anyconnect VPN client needs to be updated. This process should be automatic and once done VPN connectivity should be as normal.

Fast Frequency Response Market - Dispatch of R1 and L1 FCAS in the SA region during island conditions from 1 July 2024

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

From 1 July 2024 AEMO will dispatch R1 and L1 FCAS locally in the SA region during conditions of actual islanding of the SA region.

This follows the end of contracts for Fast Frequency Response (FFR) in the SA region.

The dispatch of R1 and L1 FCAS under these island conditions will not be capped.

These changes are only applicable for conditions of actual SA islanding from the rest of the NEM.

No other changes to the dispatch of R1 and L1 FCAS will be made on this date.
