PDPASA - Update of the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 1 (LOR1) in the NSW Region on 06/01/2025
The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 122853 has been updated to the following:
[1.] From 1530 hrs 06/01/2025 to 1830 hrs 06/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1400 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 992 MW.

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR1 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region for the following Periods:
[1.] From 1530 hrs 06/01/2025 to 1630 hrs 06/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1400 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1044 MW.
[2.] From 1800 hrs 06/01/2025 to 1830 hrs 06/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1400 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1146 MW.

The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 122734 has been updated at 1400 hrs 03/01/2025 to the following:
1. From 1430 hrs to 1630 hrs 06/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1400 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 700 MW.
2. From 1830 hrs to 2300 hrs 06/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1859 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1249 MW.

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

Actual Minimum System Load MSL1 condition in the VIC Region on 01/01/2025
Update to Market Notice 122653 - AEMO has detected that there is an elevated risk of insufficient demand to maintain a secure operating state in the VIC on 01/01/2025.
Minimum regional demand is forecast to be 1398 MW at 1300 hrs, and the advisory threshold is:
- MSL1 - 1535 MW
- MSL2 - 1035 MW
- MSL3 - 535 MW
The regional demand is below the MSL1 threshold. The actual MSL1 condition is forecast to exist until 1400 hrs.
