At 2128 hrs 16/01/2025, the Koorangie 220 kV Terminal Station has been cut in to the existing Kerang - Wemen 220 kV transmission line resulting in the following network augmentations being commissioned:

Kerang - Koorangie 220 kV transmission line

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 19th Jan

VIC
Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 20th Jan

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

Fast Frequency Response Market - Increase in R1 FCAS dispatch cap from 20th January 2025

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Following review of the operation of the Very Fast FCAS market, from 1300 hrs AEST on Monday 20th January AEMO will increase the cap on dispatch of Very Fast Raise (R1) Contingency FCAS from 425 MW to 500 MW

No other changes to the dispatch of Very Fast FCAS or FCAS constraint equations will be made on this date.

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE.

Non-credible contingency event - NSW region - 15/01/2025

At 2019 hrs the Tomago - Taree (963) 132kV line and the Tomago - Brandy Hill (96C) 132kV line tripped.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has been advised of disconnection of 80 MW of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.
