Women in Engineering

The Australian energy industry is overwhelmingly male - the ratio is currently 80/20 in favour of men. Here at AEMO, however, we pride ourselves on recruiting, developing and supporting the very best in female talent.

As part of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy, AEMO is focused on improving our gender diversity through a number of initiatives, including the mPower mentorship program and the 2022 female graduate intake. This INWED (International Day of Women in Engineering) we appreciate that there is still more work to be done but we thank all our allies for their support, and we continue to #ImagineTheFuture where engineering has a diverse representation.
