AEMO is consulting on changes to the STTM Procedures to align the procedures with the National Gas Rules, as set out in the National Gas Amendment (STTM Deviation and the Settlement Surplus and Shortfall) Rule 2013 No. 4. These rules commence on 1 May 2014.
The allocation of the settlement surplus and shortfall, set out in rule 464(2A), is the subject of a further rule change currently being considered by the AEMC. If made, AEMO has requested that the amended rules effecting STTM deviations and the settlement surplus allocation be deferred to commence on 1 November 2014. In this circumstance, this procedure change will no longer apply and will be withdrawn.
