Update to Victorian system normal Kerang voltage stability limit
AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE
AEMO has completed a review of a system normal voltage stability limit in north west Victoria as a result of commissioning of BESS at Koorangie. The revised limit manages pre-contingent flow on the Wemen to Koorangie 220 kV line to avoid voltage collapse at Koorangie, Kerang or Wemen on loss of the Crowlands to Bulgana to Horsham or Horsham to Murra Warra to Kiamal 220 kV line. The revised constraint equation includes the generators in south-west NSW and north-west Victoria on the left-hand side as well as Murraylink and V-SA. The revised limit will be implemented at 0900 hrs on Monday 31st March 2025, by updating V^^V_NIL_KGTS.

AEMO has identified a foreseeable circumstance that may require an AEMO intervention event in the SA region from 0730 hrs 29/03/2025.
The foreseeable circumstance requiring the need for intervention is Voltage.
AEMO estimates that, in the absence of sufficient market response by 1600 hrs 28/03/2025, AEMO may need to intervene by issuing a direction.
