Independent Expert Report - Directions to Victorian generators during billing week 43 2024

AEMO issued directions to generators in Victoria during billing week 43 2024.

In accordance with NER Clause 3.15.7A (h), AEMO is required to appoint an Independent Expert to assess and determine the fair payment compensation claims for the Directed participant that is equal to or exceeds the $20,000 threshold, is considered unreasonable by AEMO or involves issues of complexity.

AEMO nominated an Independent Expert on 13 December 2024 with no objections received. AEMO then appointed Euan Morton from Synergies Economic Consulting Pty Ltd as the Independent Expert to determine compensation.
