List of Vulnerable Transmission Lines

AEMO NEM power system operating procedure SO_OP_3715 – Power System Security Guidelines identifies a category of double circuit transmission lines that are eligible to be reclassified as credible contingency event during a lightning storm if a cloud to ground lightning strike is detected within a specified distance of these lines. These double circuit lines are categorised as Vulnerable Transmission Lines and listed in the attached spreadsheet below.
