Planning and Governance

The NEM Reform Implementation Roadmap ('The Roadmap') sets the baseline upon which AEMO and industry stakeholders can navigate the extent of the reforms set out for the next few years. 

The Roadmap was developed by AEMO in collaboration with the NEM Reform Delivery Committee (RDC) and is updated from time to time, as required in response to various conditions in the transition landscape.

The Roadmap establishes the optimum pathway forward, enabling rigorous and deliberate planning by AEMO and industry participants alike, de-risking delivery and informing implementation timing. It is structured to avoid unnecessary or duplicative costs, and identify where strategic investments can be made to deliver efficient outcomes for AEMO, market participants and consumers.
