Update - Possible intervention to manage power system security in SA region
Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 112176
The synchronous generating units currently expected to be synchronised in SA from 0900 hrs 12/12/2023 will be inadequate to maintain a secure operating state in SA .
AEMO estimates that, in the absence of sufficient market response by 0800 hrs 12/12/2023, AEMO may need to intervene by issuing a direction requiring one or more SA synchronous generating unit(s) to operate or remain synchronised to maintain power system security in SA.

The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 112160 has been updated at 1400 hrs 11/12/2023 to the following:
From 1530 hrs to 2000 hrs 14/12/2023.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1385 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 700 MW.

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1287 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1019 MW.
