Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) testing 12th November 2024 1630-2200 for flows in both directions

There is an opportunity for testing Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) for flows in both directions up to 50 MW on 12th November from 16:30hrs to 22:00hrs
This test includes switching of a transmission line in SA and switching of a reactive plant in NSW.

Update - Non-credible contingency event - VIC region - 12/11/2024
Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 120305
At 1135 hrs the Yallourn No 1 220 kV bus was returned to service.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 1041 hrs the Yallourn No 1 220 kV bus and Yallourn Unit 4 tripped.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

There is an opportunity for testing Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) for flows in both directions up to 50 MW on 12th November from 06:00hrs to 11:00hrs
This test includes the synchronization of the new PEC Stage 1 interconnector and testing of the Phase Shifting transformer at Buronga substation.

The Forecast LOR2 condition in the QLD region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 120120 is cancelled at 2345 hrs 07/11/2024.

PDPASA - Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the QLD Region on 08/11/2024
AEMO declares a Forecast LOR2 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the QLD region for the following Period:
[1.] From 1800 hrs 08/11/2024 to 1900 hrs 08/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 727 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 694 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.
