The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 112317 has been updated at 0900 hrs 15/12/2023 to the following:
From 1430 hrs to 1600 hrs 19/12/2023.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 730 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 232 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

The Actual LOR2 condition is not forecast in Pre Dispatch
The capacity reserve required is 690 MW
The minimum reserve available is 678 MW
AEMO is seeking an immediate market response.
An insufficient market response may require AEMO to implement a AEMO intervention event.

The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 112300 has been updated at 1450 hrs to the following:

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 700 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 579 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO estimates the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event is 1630 hrs on 14/12/2023.

At 1350 28/11/2023 hrs Tungkillo- Robertstown No.1 and No.2 275kV lines and the Robertstown No.1 and No.2 synchronous condensers were reclassified due to the elements tripping at 0534 hrs 28/11/2023
The cause of trip was identified as due to lightning.
In accordance with SO_OP_3715, AEMO now considers the following elements to be vulnerable due to lightning.
Elements: Tungkillo- Robertstown No.1 and No.2 275kV lines and the Robertstown No.1 and No.2 synchronous condensers.

NEM Local Temperature Alerts for VIC from 14 Dec 2023 to 18 Dec 2023
AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 18th Dec
The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
