A planned outage of Moorabool - Sydenham No. 2 500 kV Line in the VIC region was scheduled from 1130 hrs 13/11/2024 to 1900 hrs 20/11/2024.

The outage has been completed and Moorabool - Sydenham No. 2 500 kV Line returned to service at 1640 hrs 19/11/2024

The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 120652 and 120638 has been updated at 1400 hrs 19/11/2024 to the following:

From 1600 hrs to 1930 hrs 25/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 730 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 236 MW.

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR2 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region for the following period:

1. From 1430 hrs to 1600 hrs 26/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 700 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 110 MW.

2. From 1900 hrs to 2030 hrs 26/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 730 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 77 MW.

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 21st Nov, 22nd Nov

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
