PDPASA - Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 1 (LOR1) in the NSW Region on 13/11/2024
AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE
AEMO declares a Forecast LOR1 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region for the following Period:
[1.] From 1800 hrs 13/11/2024 to 1900 hrs 13/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1430 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1372 MW.

There is an opportunity for testing Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) for flows in both directions up to 50 MW on 12th November from 16:30hrs to 22:00hrs
This test includes switching of a transmission line in SA and switching of a reactive plant in NSW.

This test includes the synchronization of the new PEC Stage 1 interconnector and testing of the Phase Shifting transformer at Buronga substation.
