Overview

In accordance with rule 5.20A of the National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO is required to undertake a General Power System Risk Review (GPSRR) and prepare a GPSRR report for the National Electricity Market (NEM) at least annually. From 2023, the GPSRR replaces and expands on the scope of the previous biennial Power System Frequency Risk Review (PSFRR).  

AEMO has now completed the 2023 GSPRR draft report consultation. The final 2023 GPSRR report was published on 10 July 2023. 

AEMO held an industry question and answer session on the draft 2023 GPSRR report on 1 June 2023 for all Registered Participants and interested parties. A summary of the feedback received is summarised in Appendix 7 of the final report.
