This is correction to Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) testing time issued in previous notice 119961.
Testing time is on 6th November from 11:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs.

The test is for flows in both directions up to 50 MW. This test includes a trip and reclose of a line in South Australia. AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

QLD
Dalby Ap (37+ Deg C): 5th Nov, 6th Nov, 7th Nov, 8th Nov, 9th Nov

SA
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 5th Nov

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

Fast Frequency Response Market - Increase in R1 FCAS dispatch caps from 4th November 2024

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Following review of the operation of the Very Fast FCAS market, from 1300 hrs AEST on Monday 4th November AEMO will increase the cap on dispatch of Very Fast Raise (R1) Contingency FCAS from 350 MW to 375 MW

No other changes to the dispatch of Very Fast FCAS or FCAS constraint equation changes will be made on this date.

Update - Lightning vulnerable lines in Vic region

Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice 119029

At 1525 hrs on 18/10/2024 the Rowville - Yallourn No. 7 220 kV Line and the Rowville - Yallourn No. 8 220 kV Line tripped and auto-reclosed.
The cause of the trip was identified as due to Lightning.

In accordance with SO_OP_3715, AEMO now considers the Rowville - Yallourn No. 7 220 kV Line and the Rowville - Yallourn No. 8 220 kV Line to be vulnerable with a category of probable due to Lightning.
