We all have good days, bad days, and those days when something just isn’t quite right.

With one in five (20%) Australians aged 16-85 suffering from mental illness in any year, we’re working diligently to raise mental health awareness across the business to make sure our employees feel safe and empowered to practice mental wellness.

Good mental health is the ability to think, feel and behave in a way that helps us perform at our best.  Following R U OK? Day and World Mental Health Day, we’re trying to highlight and address some of the misconceptions around mental health to help challenge the stigmas..

As National Safe Work Month comes to a close, we wanted to share with you our commitment to building a safe and healthy workplace in partnership with our Workplace Health, Safety and Environment (WHSE) team. That’s why we sat down with AEMO’s Senior WHSE Advisor Jessica Bacon this week to talk about the importance of mental health awareness at work.
