Cancellation of reclassification of a Non-Credible Contingency Event as a Credible Contingency Event due to Lightning. AEMO considers the simultaneous trip of the following circuits is no longer reasonably possible. There is no longer any lightning activity in the vicinity of the following lines. Accordingly its classification has reverted to a non-credible contingency event.

Planned outage of Cherry Gardens - Tailem Bend 275 kV line in the South Australia (SA) region on 03/02/2022 and 04/02/2022.
The Tailem Bend - Cherry Gardens 275kV line in South Australia (SA) region is planned to be out of service from 2030 hrs on 03/02/2022 to 0030 hrs on 04/02/2022.
During this outage, SA will remain connected to the rest of the NEM via the Tungkillo - Tailem Bend 275kV line and the 132kV network.
A credible contingency event on the Tungkillo - Tailem Bend 275kV line during this planned outage will sever the 275kV connections between Victoria and SA. If SA remains connected to the Victoria via the 132kV network, this will pose a system security issue.
If the above credible contingency occurs, AEMO will take all necessary steps as outlined in Section 3.1 of SO_OP_3715 Power System Security Guideline to separate the 132kV network and therefore manage an orderly separation of SA from the rest of the NEM.

Planned outage of Tungkillo - Tailem Bend 275 kV line in the SA region on 04/02/2022.
The Tungkillo - Tailem Bend 275 kV line in South Australia (SA) region is planned to be out of service from 04/02/2022 0030 hrs to 04/02/2022 0430 hrs.
During this outage, SA will remain connected to the rest of the NEM via the Tailem Bend - Cherry Gardens 275 kV line and the 132kV network.
A credible contingency event on the Tailem Bend - Cherry Gardens 275 kV line during this planned outage will sever the 275kV connections between Victoria and SA. If SA remains connected to Victoria via the 132kV network only, this will pose a system security issue.
If the above credible contingencies occur, AEMO will take all necessary steps as outlined in Section 3.1 of SO_OP_3715 Power System Security Guideline to separate the 132kV network and therefore manage an orderly separation of SA from the rest of the NEM.
