Planned System Change - EMMS Pre-Production: Generator Ramp Rate Rule Change
Notification issued to: Market Notice
Notification Type: Initial
Change Type: Normal
Service/ Component: Electricity Market Management System
Change Title: Planned System Change - EMMS Pre-Production: Generator Ramp Rate Rule Change
Change Start Date & Time: 30/05/2016 10:00:00 AEST
Change End Date & Time: 30/05/2016 12:00:00 AEST
Change Description:
This change is to support the new generator ramp rate rules starting on 1st July 2016.
As part of this change AEMO will publish data informing Participants of their Minimum Ramp Rates including Generator DUID and individual unit max capacities. (Refer to the AEMO Tech Spec 931 issued 18th March 2016 for more information.)
The new minimum Ramp Rates will become effective and be used in validation from trading day 08/06/16 in Pre-Production and from 01/07/16 in Production.
Environment: Pre-Production
Participant Impact and Requirements:
This rule change results in some DUIDs having a changed Minimum Ramp Rate used in offer validation. AEMO encourages participants to validate their own offering systems in Pre-Production before the Production implementation date.
AEMO reminds participants to ensure that any previously accepted offers are revised for compliance with the new Minimum Ramp Rate. AEMO will contact Participants if they are potentially in breach of the Minimum Ramp Rate rule requirements before the rule becomes effective.
