Planned outage of Heywood 500kV bus no 2 outage in Victoria (VIC) region on 14, 21,22,23 July 2021
This market notice is FOR INFORMATION ONLY.
Heywood 500kV bus no 2 outages is planned to be out on the following periods.
-0700 hrs to 1700 hrs on 14 July 2021
-0700 hrs to 1700 hrs on 21 July 2021
-0700 hrs to 1700 hrs on 22 July 2021
-0700 hrs to 1700 hrs on 23 July 2021
A credible contingency event during this planned outage could cause synchronous separation of the South Australia (SA) region from the rest of the NEM. If separation occurs, load may be interrupted due to the operation of the Automatic Under Frequency Load Shedding (AUFLS) scheme in SA.
The credible separation contingency is managed as follows:
When power transfer is from SA to Victoria (Vic), contingency lower FCAS will be sourced from SA.
When power transfer is from Vic to SA, due to the 47-52Hz island separation frequency band advised by the SA jurisdiction, contingency raise FCAS is not sourced in SA and the AUFLS scheme may respond to low frequency events.
Power transfer will be restricted on Victoria - South Australia interconnector (Heywood interconnector).
Forecast capacity reserves in the SA region are currently sufficient to meet electricity demand during the planned outage.
The following constraint sets have been invoked for this outage:
F-I-HYSE
I-VS_050
S-X_BC_CP
V-HYTX_M12
V-HY_500BUS

Description:
Planned Outage - MSATS Pre-Prod Data refresh (CATS and EMDM)
Environment:Pre-Prod
Impact & Requirements:
This change is to advise participants that MSATS Pre-Prod data for CATS and eMDM databases will be refreshed from Prod data. The aim of this data refresh is to update Pre-Prod with Prod data in preparation for the 5 min settlement Market Trials commencing 19/07/2021.
Implications:
The data refresh will be from MSATS Prod data as of approximately Mon 12/072021.
Participants should be aware of:
o Pre-Prod will be unavailable for the duration of the refresh (See above times)
o AEMO will be testing a new refresh process that could potentially shorten the Refresh outage period, participants will be notified of the outage completion which may be earlier than the notified outage.
o Any test NMI data configurations within the Pre-Prod environment will be over written
o Pre-Prod participant passwords will be retained.
The following actions will also be undertaken:
o Pending reports from prod will be stopped and will not execute in Pre-Prod.
o Change requests will continue to process in Pre-Prod after the copy. Notifications as a result of these change requests being processed will be delivered in Pre-Prod.
o Undelivered notifications in Prod at the time of the copy will not be delivered in Pre-Prod.
o Participant outbox/inbox contents will not be copied to Pre-Prod.
o XML output pending delivery to participant outboxes in Prod will be purged from the copy and not delivered in Pre-Prod.
