The combination of synchronous generating units currently expected to be synchronised in SA from 0830 hrs 13/09/2021 to 1600 hrs 13/09/2021 in Pre-dispatch will not provide sufficient system strength in SA to maintain the power system in a secure operating state.
In the absence of sufficient market response AEMO may need to intervene by issuing a direction requiring one or more SA synchronous generating unit(s) to operate or remain synchronised from 0830 hrs 13/09/2021 to maintain power system security in SA. Refer to current Transfer Limit Advice for SA system strength on the AEMO website.
If necessary, AEMO will estimate and publish the latest time at which AEMO would need to intervene after the 1500 hrs Pre-dispatch run on the 12/09/2021.
