2024 ISP Stakeholder Engagement

Our engagement goal for the 2024 ISP is to provide stakeholders with appropriate time and opportunity to enable meaningful input into our planning. We want stakeholder views to shape our modelling and decisions, so we can create a plan for the efficient development of a safe, reliable, and affordable power system, for the benefit of all Australians, while enabling a net-zero future.

AEMO is committed to engaging closely with stakeholders and delivering effective energy solutions as efficiently as possible. Throughout the development of the 2024 ISP, AEMO has set three key engagement principles:

2024 ISP Engagement Satisfaction Survey #2

Thank you to our stakeholders who provided feedback to our first 2024 Integrated System Plan (ISP) engagement survey in October 2023. The feedback we collected was invaluable to inform our approach to the Draft 2024 ISP consultation and associated engagement events.

Now that the Draft 2024 ISP consultation has closed, we’re working through stakeholder feedback and over the coming months, developing the Final 2024 ISP due for release by the end of June. We would like to hear feedback on your experience engaging with AEMO during the development of the 2024 ISP process so far.

We would like to hear from you about what’s working well, and where we can improve, so that we can continue to improve for the remainder of the 2024 ISP program, and for the development of the 2026 ISP.

This section provides stakeholder engagement event details and engagement supporting information across the 2024 ISP development cycle. AEMO also engages with stakeholders through a range of related forums, such as the Forecasting Reference Group to validate assumptions, share expertise and explore new approaches relevant for the ISP (and other Forecasting and Planning initiatives).
