Possible intervention to manage power system security in SA Region
Possible intervention to manage power system security in SA Region
The synchronous generating units currently expected to be synchronised in SA from 0730 hrs 13/12/2023 will be inadequate to maintain a secure operating state in SA.
AEMO may need to intervene by issuing a direction requiring one or more SA synchronous generating unit(s) to operate or remain synchronised to maintain power system security in SA.

Request for Generator Recall Information for 14/12/2023 for QLD Region
Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice no. 112198. Additional generation in QLD could assist in alleviating the forecast LOR condition in NSW.
Please provide Generator Recall Information for the period 14/12/2023, by 1200 hrs on 13/12/2023 via the Generator Recall communication system, in accordance with clause 4.8.5A of the National Electricity Rules.

Inter-regional transfer limit variation - Blyth West- Munno Para 275 kV Line - SA region - 11/12/2023
At 1446 hrs 11/12/2023 there was an unplanned outage of Blyth West- Munno Para 275 kV Line.
However, due to the concurrent Non-credible contingency event - SA region - 11/12/2023, refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 112187, additional inter-regional constraints were not required until the remaining Mintaro - Waterloo 132 kV Line was returned to service.
The following constraint set(s) invoked at 1610 hrs 11/12/2023
S-BWMP
This constraint set(s) contains equations with the following interconnectors on the LHS.
V-S-MNSP1
Refer to the AEMO Network Outage Scheduler for further information.

At 1554 hrs the remaining Mintaro - Waterloo 132 kV Line was returned to service.
The following constraint set(s) revoked:
S-X-MNWT+CB
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

The synchronous generating units currently expected to be synchronised in SA from 0900 hrs 12/12/2023 will be inadequate to maintain a secure operating state in SA .
AEMO estimates that, in the absence of sufficient market response by 0800 hrs 12/12/2023, AEMO may need to intervene by issuing a direction requiring one or more SA synchronous generating unit(s) to operate or remain synchronised to maintain power system security in SA.
