Reduction in load relief in Tasmanian region - 23rd June 2021
Further to MN 80127 and 85882 on 23rd June at 1000hrs AEMO will reduce the load relief used to determine FCAS requirements from 0.1% to 0% for the Tasmanian region. This will increase the amount of contingency FCAS enabled by AEMO in the Tasmanian region.
This change is a part of AEMO's review of frequency in the NEM. The Tasmanian load relief will be slowly reduced by 0.1% on a four weekly basis. Details were provided to market participants in an industry teleconference on 4th December 2020. There will be no change at this stage to the Mainland load relief.
