Global Power System Transformation (G-PST)

AEMO is one of six power system operators who came together in 2019 to form the Global Power System Transformation Consortium.

AEMO’s Chief Executive Officer Daniel Westerman and the Chief Executive Officers from the other five fastest decarbonizing energy systems in the world together lead and disseminate G-PST’s applied research to accelerate proving solutions that enable grids across the world to run on 100% renewable energy while maintaining electricity system reliability, security and resilience. 

G-PST’s collective global expertise and AEMO’s collaborative initiatives within Australia have informed the OTP journey to date, from G-PST’s vision for the energy system Control Room of the Future to Australia’s Operations Technology Roadmap (OTR) from which AEMO developed the OTP.

The OTP is now making the OTR a reality.
